Noemie is a member of the British Association of Art Therapists (BAAT) and registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (UK). She is a passionate art psychotherapist helping children and young people to express difficult emotions through the media of creative arts.
Noemie has completed a master's qualification in Art Psychotherapy at Roehampton University, London. She has experience working with a range of difficulties such as depression, anxiety, abuse, trauma, neglect, attachment difficulties, loss, or bereavements. She draws on different theoretical and relational approaches including psychoanalytic ideas and attachment and humanistic theories. Her therapy offers a person-centred and trauma informed approach in which children and adolescents explore their emotions and experiences through creative ways of expression in a safe way.
Noemie offers Art therapy individually or in small group settings. It is not a recreational activity or an art lesson and children do not need to have any previous experience or expertise in art. Using integrative methods, Noemie engages children and adolescents kinesthetic, sensory and perceptual modes of receptive and expressive communication, which can sometimes evade the limitations of language.
